Best pizza near the mall in Columbia! Josh took very good care of us and shared with us the history and vibe of the establishment! They also have a street fighter arcade machine!

Popped into Bennie's for lunch and it hit the spot! They have a great pizza and drink lunch special for about $9 but I was more in the mood for a sammie! The bartender was very attentive, but patient while I decided on my lunch and drink choice. I didn't need any food recs but once I decided on the Turkey hero e definitely confirmed that I'd made an excellent choice. And he was not wrong. I enjoyed every bite! The matcha momma was also a great choice for a whisky cocktail! Bennie's is a relaxed bar/restaurant, very casual snuggled in between chicken + whiskey and the Walrus. Not to be overlooked!

I've wanted to try Bennie's and just haven't made it until this visit! They were set up at the mall with several other of the restaurants and we got to try the pizza. It definitely impressed me and we grabbed a whole pie to go. The location is in the bar area of Chicken and Whiskey. I already loved Chicken and Whiskey so this was definitely an upgrade to add pizza and more menu items. The bar is super nice with great drinks. If you are looking for pizza definitely give them a try. I was also interested in their subs and wings!

I like how it is located right by the Columbia mall and the movie theatre. Their entire staff was extremely friendly as soon as I walked into the restaurant. Also, as I was leaving, I was carrying pizza boxes and an employee saw and opened the door for me which was super nice, above and beyond for customer service which I really appreciated. Also as soon as I arrived, my order was ready. In terms of the food, I wasn't a huge fan. I personally would probably have gone with 3 stars because it wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked and I wish there had been more sauce. But, the flavors that were there were tasty, I just wish it had been more flavorful. The other people I ate with all LOVED the pizza and sandwich and thought it was some of the best pizza in the entire area. We got the chicken and whiskey bbq pizza as well as the plain cheese pizza. I did enjoy the chicken and whiskey pizza, it had a very good flavor. However, I wish it had some more sauce and less crispy crust. I also got the chicken Parmesan sandwich which really gives you your moneys worth. The sandwich is HUGE with giant pieces of chicken. However, again, I wish there had been more marinara sauce on the sandwich. It just felt a bit dry. Overall though, the sandwich is worth the money because of how big the portion size is. Overall, the staff was great, the portions for the sandwich were amazing, and the pizza was pretty good.

TLDR: great pizza, but scarce on toppings. Nice service and a modernish pizza joint vibe. Cocktails were so so. I have high expectations for NY style pizza and in my mind less is more. The beauty is in the simplicity. Bennie's knocks it out of the park with their pizza and reminds me of home. The crust could be a tiny tiny bit thicker and more firm so the pizza isn't so floppy. But the flavor and texture is perfect. The chicken parm sub was excellent too though the chicken wasnn't crispy. The cocktails were so so. Would probably come here weekly if the pizza wasn't $4 a slice and it was closer. But I will definitely be back

Bennie's is finally here and definitely lived up to the hype. NY style pizza is pretty much non existent in this area so I was really excited when I heard about this spot coming to Columbia. Who doesn't love a good New York style pizza? Located by the AMC movie theatre, at the Mall in Columbia. Bennie's offers dine in or to go. There is an outside counter where you can order or you can dine inside with table or bar service. There are about 10 tables inside with a large bar area. I was greeted and seated immediately upon arriving. I came here for one single reason, PIZZA. Monday - Friday they offer a lunch special for $9 dollars so I took advantage of that! You can mix and match slices if you want but I went with pepperoni. The slices aren't huge but are very good. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect and so was the flavor! The pepperoni was crispy and the pizza was perfectly cooked. Solid 8/10 The menu also has subs, salads more. Give them a try.

2.1.24 This pizzeria is located at Mall of Columbia and has the same owner, Desmond, as Chicken and Whiskey. He came and greeted my party of three. The pizzeria took over the Chicken and Whiskey's previous bar area so seating is limited. There are a few two and four seat tables so would get packed rather quickly. There is a sign in clipboard at the bar. Unbeknownst to me, I just walked in and picked a table as there were no staff that greeted me when I arrived. Whoops. My hubby, our buddy, and I split a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and chicken parmesan sub. Pizzas are 16" and toppings are extra if you don't select one of their specialty pizza. The pizza was good and the boys like that the pizza bottom was slightly charred. I LOVED the sub, just wish the chicken was heartier. There was more bread than meat. They have a $9 lunch special for 2 slices pizza and soft drink Monday through Friday from 11am-3pm. They also have Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 3-6pm.
